Here’s a new mix I’ve been working on all weekend. The last couple of weeks have been really sad with the death and memorial service of Michael Jackson. I decided over the weekend that I wanted to do something to take my mind off of it. So I did what I do best, mix some music. I had a lot of fun creating this mix. It felt and sounded incredibly.

My nephews Tyler and James are visiting me for the summer. They told me that they really like this mix. My older nephew Tyler has told me on more than one occasion that he wants to be a DJ. I think he would be an excellent DJ because he has an ear for music. He would be a good protégé and I wouldn't mind being a mentor. And since I don't have a kid it would be kind of nice to pass my skills on to the next generation.

Oh yeah, James says he wants to be a DJ too. But he's kind of lazy! LOL

Okay with that said, here the first part of the mix. “Hello, My Name is Swagger!” will have two parts. The second part of the mix will come out in about two weeks. I am putting the finishing touches on it now. The mix I'm working on for August called “Beast”. “Beast” will come out around the first week of August and showcase my diversity as a DJ and an artist. I'm having a lot of fun with that mix, and it is also a two-parter.

I am also debuting a special “Michael Jackson mix” later this week. This mix is over an hour long just like “Hello, My Name is Swagger!”.

I am also outlining  my mix for September which is untitled. Please stay tuned for more information about that mix.

Michael Jackson Public Memorial Service - Inside

Today is the Memorial for the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. About a week ago I started writing an article about the King of Pop but was unable to complete it. There were times in the article when I felt I was being too judgmental or too harsh on the man. So I decided not to publish it.

Don't get me wrong, I think Michael Jackson is one of our pioneers. He opened a lot of doors so that artist like; Beyoncé, Usher, Chris Brown, Mariah Carey, Rhianna, and other young artists of today could walk through.

His ever-changing appearance was something that always bothered me. In a time where African-Americans were struggling to find and have an identity I felt he had been more of icon. Our skin is our inheritance. It is what our forefathers left us,  through their blood, their sweat and their tears.  
And I'm just leave it as that - today is not a day for that conversation.

But as an artist that was no other like him. He was always ahead of his time. Again he was a pioneer. I want to thank him for his generosity, and the kindness you showed the entire planet. He was the ambassador to the world.

I'm just glad that his music will live on forever and ever. Songs like, “remember the time”, “human nature”, “you are not alone”, “butterflies”, “one more chance”, “off-the-wall”, rock with you”, "I can't help it" and many others. Those are just a few of my favorites.
 
In closing , I just want to say I will miss him . He had a beautiful soul. Andno one else will ever replace him. No one.

Janet Jackson made an unexpected appearance on stage near the close of last night's 2009 BET Awards show to honor her brother and thank fans for their support following his death on Thursday.

"My entire family wanted to be here tonight, but it was just too painful," a visibly emotional but composed Jackson told the audience. "To you, Michael is an icon; to us, Michael is family and he will forever live in all of our hearts."

Janet and Michael's father, Joe Jackson was seated near the front of the audience but did not participate in the ceremony. After Jackson left the stage, the show ended with a performance of the Jackson 5 hit "I'll Be There" by show host Jamie Foxx and Ne-Yo, who was named Best Male R&B Artist earlier in the night.

    A lawyer for Michael Jackson's personal physician tells the Los Angeles Times that reports that the singer was injected with Demerol just before his death last Thursday are "absolutely false." "There was no Demerol. No OxyContin," Edward Chernoff, attorney for Dr. Conrad Murray, told The Times.
    Chernoff says Jackson wasn't breathing and had a weak pulse when Murray found the singer in bed in his Holmby Hills mansion, so the doctor began administering CPR. Chernoff was present during the LAPD's three-hour interview with Murray on Saturday. Investigators say the doctor is in no way a suspect and told the L.A. Times that reports that Jackson was injected with Demerol or other painkillers are coming from outside the investigation. Chernoff says Murray will wait until the investigation is complete before speaking publicly about the tragedy.

R&B chart-topping duo Ne-Yo and Keri Hilson are leading an early set of winners at the BET Awards 09'.

Ne-Yo, recognized for the 2008 effort "Year of the Gentleman," picked up an award for Best R&B Male Artist after performing a special tribute to Michael Jackson.

Also dedicating his award to the late Michael Jackson, Ne-Yo kicked off a surprising round of performances from hit R&B groups Guy, BBD (Bel Biv Devoe) and former "Nobody" singer Keith Sweat.

In addition to Ne-Yo picking up Best R&B Male Artist, "Knock You Down" singer Keri Hilson earned the BET Award for Best New Artist.

Mary Mary (Best Gospel Artist), Taraji P. Henson (Best Actress), Jamie Foxx and T-Pain (Best Collaboration "Blame It") and Lil Wayne (Best Hip Hop) also picked up awards.

Bad Boy recording stars Day 26 picked up a pre-show award for Best Group.

Joe Jackson made a special appearance at the 2009 BET Awards Sunday.

Jackson, mourning the surprising death of his son and King of Pop Michael Jackson, spoke with Singersroom.com and stopped for photographs on the red carpet.

As reported on Singersroom earlier today, Jackson issued a statement on behalf of his family thanking fans for the overwhelming support issued since Jackson's death Thursday.

In the statement, Jackson wrote:

"In one of the darkest moments of our lives we find it hard to find the words appropriate to this sudden tragedy we all had to encounter. Our beloved son, brother and father of three children has gone so unexpectedly, in such a tragic way and much too soon. It leaves us, his family, speechless and devastated to a point, where communication with the outside world seems almost impossible at times," a statement released late Saturday.

"We miss Michael endlessly, our pain cannot be described in words. But Michael would not want us to give up now. So we want to thank all of his faithful supporters and loyal fans worldwide, you – who Michael loved so much. Please do not despair, because Michael will continue to live on in each and every one of you. Continue to spread his message, because that is what he would want you to do. Carry on, so his legacy will live forever."

Michael Jackson has died!

Iconic entertainer Michael Jackson was rushed to UCLA Medical center Thursday afternoon after being found unresponsive.

Reports from Los Angeles based sources say Jackson suffered cardiac arrest and received CPR in an ambulance after being picked up from his Holmby Hills home.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Jackson was not breathing when paramedics arrived at his home around 12:26 pm PT.

While Jackson's status is unknown at this time, TMZ sources say a Jackson family member told them the 'King of Pop' is in "really bad shape".

As previously reported on Singersroom, Jackson is due to perform at London's O2 Arena next month. The concert series, billed as 'This Is It,' has 50 scheduled dates and tickets sold out within hours of being released to the public.

Jackson made headlines earlier this year at a press conference for the concert series, proclaiming that this
would be his last run in London.

A series of dates set for early July were postponed last month. As early as Monday, organizers confirmed an official kick off of July 13 at London's O2 arena.

Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Estelle has been tapped to fill in for Lauryn Hill at July's Stockholm Jazz Festival

Hill, originally booked to play multiple dates on her first European tour in some time, canceled earlier this month.

Accordingto organizers, Estelle will fill in for the former Fugees singer and
join Erykah Badu, Leela James and Allan Toussaint, who were previouslyconfirmed.

What in the hell is up with Lauryn Hill? I know she was angry with the music industry, especially her label. I know she had five kids with Mr. Marley.  I guess I don't understand how a woman as talented as she is can't juggle a family and a music career. I have also heard other rumors that she's very difficult to work with. When The Fugees tried to make a comeback a couple years ago, Wyclef and Pras, decided that it wasn't worth it. It was rumored that she was a beast! So the reunion was short-lived. They didn't even complete the album, it was stopped in mid completion. She's made some appearances on several albums including John legend, and Joss Stone. I've been waiting, just like most of you for her to return to the music industry. She was a triple threat; an incredible singer, talented actress and a beautiful woman. What a shame. What a waste.

Chris Brown pleaded guilty to felony assault today in Los Angeles in a deal with prosecutors. Brown was sentenced to probation and community service for beating then-girlfriend Rihanna in a February incident. He must also stay 50 yards away from Rihanna unless the two are present atthe same event, in which case he must stay 10 yards away from her, and he is forbidden from contacting her in any way.

The deal includes 180days of community service such as trash removal in Virginia (where Brown resides), along with five years of supervised probation and a court-mandated 52-week domestic violence counseling program. (The singer had faced up to four years in prison if convicted.)
 
Rihanna was not present at the hearing until Brown left the courtroom, at which point she arrived and was given a copy of the judge's stay-away order for Brown. She made no statement. Brown will be formally sentenced onAug. 5.

The Grammy-winning R 'n' B singer shot the ad campaign in Las Vegas, in between times recording his upcoming new album.

Being on the media spotlight ever since it was confirmed last week that he is divorcing his wife Tameka Foster, Usher
manages to draw more attention as he is featured on the new advertising
campaign of "Got Milk?". The ad, which sees him donning a milk mustache
in what looks like a recording studio, was shot in Las Vegas and coincided with the occasion during when he was recording his new album. 

"You've got to do things like win Oscarsand Grammys ..... but you're nothing if you don't have a milk ad!" the
R 'n' B hit maker says of the shot for the Body By Milk nutritional
campaign. He also confesses as being quoted by People that doing theshoot for the ad was "a lot of fun," before then jokingly adding, thead "makes me look taller."

"I pour my heart into music.
How do I stay in tune? With milk. The protein and nutrients in low fatmilk help me build muscle and stay fit. So eat right, exercise and graba glass of ice-cold milk. Now that's chill," read that tagline featuredon the lower part of Usher's "Got Milk?" ad.

Speaking about the particular album, Usher tells People that the set, which is tentatively titled "Monster",
will be "romantic at times," and grittier at other times. He goes ondetailing, "It's racy, risky and edgy and sometimes about personalexperiences. I look at music like a diary." The album is expected tocome out in October.

Rihanna is just hours away from facing Chris Brown. Is she ready to testify ?

According to the "Disturbia" singer's attorney, Donald Etra, she is ready and willing to testify 'truthfully'.

"She's
fully expecting she'll be required to testify. She will answer all
questions asked of her truthfully," Etra confirmed Friday.

As
previously reported on Singersroom, Monday's anticipated hearing will
be closed to cameras but open for sketch artists and likely journalists
without cameramen. At the hearing, Los Angeles Superior Judge Patricia
Schnegg will determine, after testimony and presentation of evidence,
whether Brown's felony case will go to trial.

Chris Brown pled
not guily to assaulting and threatening Rihanna in February. He faces
both a felony assault charge and making criminal threats charge.

Usher's next album "Monster" sounds like a rollercoaster of risky, racy and edgy twists. According to the former "Love In This Club" singer "Monster" is also a "diary". "I look at music like a diary," Usher tells PEOPLE.

With everything from a ongoing divorce to parenting and picking up his bachelor card again, Usher's new project has become something he admittedly calls "romantic at times" but still "racy, risky, edgy and sometimes about personal experiences".

While a single has not been released from the impending album, Usher will be seen in magazines
and other forms of advertising thanks to Body By Milk.

In an ad, released Friday, Usher sports a milk laden mustache with the words "Let it Flow"... "Got Milk ?"..

The ad, which follows ads featuring Taylor Swift, Dwight Howard, and Chris Paul, is also available on Body By Milk's official website.

Risky, Racy and Edgy. Hmmm, I wonder.How is he going to possibly shock us on this album. I know that there are a lot of rumors out there about him. You know what I am talking about!!! And he just got that divorce!
Things that make you go hmmmmmm?

Alright I am trying to get back into a routine. I have been off my game for a little while but now --- I'm truly back! I just got back from what I called my Spring Break and I think my engines are recharged.
But on the way home from Spring Break I had an encounter with a buzzard/vulture. He flew up from the medium into my X5 around 1pm, Saturday Afternoon. I think I was traveling around 70.  I did not slow down nor lose control of the wheel. I just safely got off the road when I was able to. We called for a tow truck and they took me home.
 
We were all okay - God was definitely with us. The accident could have been a whole lot worse than what it was but thankfully no one was hurt. It just reminds me how quickly anything can happen. The bird crash happened in a matter of seconds.

Sorry I have been away for such along time but I needed some me time. But now I am BACK! I am working on 2 new mixes called "asstastic" and "Freakshow". Hopefully they will be out by the middle of next week. I am trying to put Jamie Foxx's "Blame It on the alcohol".

Usmagazine.com has obtained an LAPD affidavit from a search warrant in the Feb. 8 assault case involving Chris Brown, 19, and Rihanna (real name: Robyn Fenty), 21. The report reads:

"Christopher B and Robyn F have been involved in a dating relations for approx 1 and half year. On Sunday Feb 8 at 25 hours Brown was driving a vehicle with Robyn F as the front passenger on an unknown street in Los Angeles. Robyn F picked brown,s cellular phone and picked up a three-page text message from a woman Brown had had a previous relationship with.

"A verbal argument ensued and Brown pulled a vehicle over in an unknown street. Reach over Robyn F with his right hand and open the car door and attempted to force her out. Brown was unable to force Robyn F out of the vehicle because she was wearing a seat belt. When he could not force her to exit he took his right hand and shoved her head against the passenger window of the vehcile causing an approx 1 inch raised circular contusion.

"Robyn F turned to face Brown and punched her in the left eye with right hand. He then drove away in the vehicle and continued to punch her in the face with his right hand while steering the vehicle with his left hand. The assault caused Robyn F Osmouth to fill with blood and blood to splatter all over her clothing and the interior of the vehicle. Brown looked at Robyn F and stated "I am going to beat the s--t out of you when we get home! You wait and see!?

"Robyn F picked her cellular phone and called her personal assistant Jennifer Rosales. Rosales did not answer the telephone but while her vm greeting was playing Robyn F pretended to talk to her and stated "I am on my way home. Make sure the cops are there when I get there? (this statement was made while greeting was playing and was not captured) after Robyn f faked the call, Brown and looked at her and stated, 'You just did the stupidest thing ever! Now I really am going to kill you.'

"Brown resumed punching Robyn F and she interlocked her fingers behind her head and brought her elbows forward to protect her face. She then bent over at the waist placing her elbows and face near her lap and in attempt to protect her face and head from the barrage of punches being levied by Brown. Brown continued to punch Robyn F on her left arm and hands, causing her to suffer a contusion on her left triceps that was approx 2 inches in diameter and numerous contusions on her left hand. Robyn f attempted to send another text message to other personal assistant Melissa Ford. Brown snatched the cellular telephone out of her hand and threw it out of the window to an unknown street. Brown continued driving and Robyn F observed his cellular phone in his lap. She picked up the cellular phone with her left hand, and before she could make a call, he placed her in a head lock with right hand and continued to drive the vehicle with his left hand.

"Brown held Robyn F close to him and bit her on her left hear. She was able to feel the vehicle swerving from right to left as Brown sped away. He stopped the vehicle in front of [address] and Robyn F turned off the car removed the key from inignition and sat on it. Brown did not know what she did with the key and began punching her in the face and arms. Brown began applying pressure to Robyn F left and right carotid arteries causing her to be unable to breath. She began to lose consciousness. She reached up with her left hand and began to attempting to gauge his eyes in attempt to flee herself. Brown bit her left ring and middle fingers and released her. While brown continued to punch her she turned around a place her back to against the passenger door. She brought her knees to her chest and placed her feet against Brown,s body and began pushing him away.

"Brown continued to punch her on legs and feet causing several contusions. Robyn F began screaming for help. And Brown exited the vehicle and walked away. A resident in the neighbor heard Robyn F,s plea for help and called 911, causing a police response. An investigation was conducted and Robyn F was issued a domestic violence protective order (EPO). Affiant conducted an interview with Melissa Ford who advised on Feb. 8 2009 at 2500 hours she received a phone call from Robyn F from an unknown telephone number later identified as the telephone number of Officer Chavez. Robyn F had advised Ford that she had been assaulted by Brown. At approx at 1 am Brown called Ford as nothing happened. Ford advised Brown that she had already talked to Robyn F and was aware of what happened. Ford had advised brown that the neighbors had called police and that they were with Robyn F. Brown had asked Ford if Robyn F had provided police with his name. And Ford advised him that she had. Brown hung up the telephone and did not call back.

"On Feb. 8, Brown turned himself in and was given a copy of the EPO and advised to not contact Robyn.

"On Feb. 17 Ford advised the affiant that she had received text messages from ... a number that Ford recognized as belonging to Brown. In the text message Brown apologized for what he had done to Robyn F. and advised Ford he was going to get help."

Rihanna and Chris Brown are back together, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.

The pair have reunited almost three weeks after Brown, 19, allegedly battered the "Umbrella" singer on Feb. 8, a source tells PEOPLE.

"They're together again. They care for each other," says the source. The on-again couple are currently spending time together at one of Sean "Diddy" Combs's homes, on Miami Beach's Star Island.

Adds the source: "While Chris is reflective and saddened about what happened, he is really happy to be with the woman he loves."

In its latest issue, PEOPLE reports that Brown called Rihanna on her 21st birthday one week ago. "He called to wish her happy birthday," a source told the magazine. "They've reached out to each other. It's been mutual."

Brown was booked by LAPD for making criminal threats but the case has not yet been presented to the District Attorney, who will ultimately determine which charges, if any, will be prosecuted.

This photo is real, according to TMZ.com and it is horrible. The picture is of Rihanna, after Chris Brown attacked her.

Tmz has obtained police photos of Rihanna after the Chris Brown assault. Rihanna’s face is shown bruised, bloody, with scratches, and she appears to have been beaten to a bloody pulp. The image is horrific to say the least.

A photo of Rihanna’s battered, bruised and downright horrific injuries was released last night and obtained by TMZ. We have the photo that TMZ.com obtained, Rihanna Real Picture of Rihanna Beaten and Bruised, however it was unclear as to how TMZ.com came into possession of this picture of Rihanna. We, amongst ourselves, suspected that a police officer was behind the picture release. The photo of Rihanna’s face was taken during the investigation, it was reported that police took photos of Rihanna both at the scene and at the hospital.

Some suspected that the photo may be fake, however LAPD has issued an investigation to find out which personnel released the photo without authorization. Without admitting that the photo of Rihanna is real, they did confirm that this photo is part of the Chris Brown domestic dispute investigation. Here is a portion of the LAPD statement;

Los Angeles: The unauthorized release of a domestic violence photograph immediately
generated an internal investigation.

At about 7 p.m. on February 19, 2009, the Los Angeles Police Department Media Relations
Section began receiving numerous inquiries about the release of a photograph associated with a
domestic violence incident that occurred on February 8, 2009, involving entertainer Chris
Brown. The photograph appeared on an entertainment website. The photograph has the
appearance of one taken during an official Domestic Violence investigation.

The Los Angeles Police Department takes seriously its duty to maintain the confidentiality of
victims of domestic violence.

The Department launched an immediate internal investigation and subsequently filed a personnel
complaint.

A violation of this type is considered serious misconduct, with penalties up to and including
termination.

In the wake of his alleged bash with girlfriend Rihanna, it seems like everyone is turning their backs on pops golden boy Chris Brown. Today, America's Got Milk?, axed the star from their pro-dairy ad campaign, which were launched at the end of last year, following his arrest on felony criminal threats charges.

This comes a day after bosses at gum corp. Wrigley announced their plans to temporarily pull an ad campaign featuring Brown.

Dairy Council bosses fear Brown's image won't help them sell products in the wake of his Sunday (Feb 8.) arrest following a fight with girlfriend Rihanna.

A statement reads, "(We are) taking the allegations against Chris Brown very seriously. We are very proud and protective of the image of the Milk Mustache campaign and the responsible message it sends to teens. Mr. Brown's ad... is scheduled to end this week."

Brown turned himself in to Los Angeles police on Sunday night. He was released from custody after posting $50,000 bail.

He will face charges in court on March 5, 2009

R&B/Pop singer Rihanna is said to be in full cooperation with the Los Angeles Police Department today, while her boyfriend/R&B star Chris Brown is being removed from planned events and radio stations.

According to investigators, Rihanna has been cooperative in providing information surrounding the alleged altercation and battery incident with R&B singer Chris Brown over the weekend.

Early Tuesday morning, published reports claimed that photos of Rihanna's injuries sustained after a post-Grammy party were "horrific".  It was however, news that a witness, who allegedly heard Rihanna screaming, became today's most troubling update in the ongoing investigation.

Sources say, contrary to earlier reports, that Rihanna did not call the authorities after sustaining injuries including a bloody nose and reported 'contusions'.

Entertainment source TMZ, has learned that the "Take A Bow" singer refused treatment at the scene but later checked in to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

TMZ along with the LA Times, revealed Rihanna's name as the victim Monday even though it is normal practice to protect the identity of the victim in a domestic violence related case. The LA Times says it broke its policy due to the high profile nature of the case.

In related news, Rihanna has canceled the controversial Malaysian concert that made headlines earlier this year due to this weekend's unfortunate incident.

The much-talked-about concert had been marred with protest threats and opposition due to Rihanna's normal concert attire which offended local residents.

Chris Brown, who has been charged with making "criminal threats," has canceled his weekend gig at the NBA All Star Game.

Brown was due to play during a celebrity game and co-host festivities with NBA star Shaquille O'Neal.

The most troubling news for Brown today comes not from investigators or even endorsement deals, as the singer's record have been pulled from radio !

According to Cleveland area radio station 96.5, listeners called Monday night demanding that Brown's records be pulled.

KISS 96.5 host Java Joel says people were outraged that the station continued to support Brown after the allegations hit the news.

"It's all that people wanted to talk about. They were outraged at this alleged behavior and wondered why we were continuing to support his music. I agreed and immediately pulled all Chris Brown songs from my show until this thing shakes out in the legal system," says Joel.

According to Cleveland's Plain Dealer, station director Bo Matthews pulled Brown's music off their playlists entirely Tuesday, stating:

"It appears that Chris has made some poor choices, we are following the lead of our listeners, and we will not be supporting Chris Brown on 96.5 Kiss FM in Cleveland until the alleged situation gets resolved."

As previously reported on Singersroom, Chris Brown is due in court March 5.

In a shocking update to the developing story surrounding chart-topping stars Chris Brown and Rihanna, sources are claiming that Chris Brown bit Rihanna causing the singer to seek treatment at a Los Angeles area hospital.

According to Access Hollywood, who spoke with sources close to Rihanna, Brown allegedly hit the singer with his fists and bit her after a pre-Grammy Award party over the weekend.

Several sources are now claiming that Rihanna, spotted at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, became highly emotional when her assistants showed up to visit.

One source claimed "Rihanna was clearly very upset by what happened and I could hear her screaming."

"Rihanna was trying to get her point across about something, she sounded like she was crying.. she tried to get her point across."

Noted entertainment source TMZ, claims Rihanna's injuries were severe, including two contusions and both a bloody lip and nose.

While both Rihanna and Brown's camps remain mum on the incident, WM. Wrigley Jr. Company has pulled its current Doublemint Gum advertisements with Chris Brown.

Stopping just short of ending their relationship with Brown, Wrigley issued the following statement Tuesday:

"Wrigley is concerned by the serious allegations made against Chris Brown. We believe Mr. Brown should be afforded the same due process as any citizen. However, we have made the decision to suspend the current advertising featuring Brown and any related marketing communications until the matter is resolved. Given the current information around the incident is speculative it is premature for us to comment further."

Chris Brown is due in court March 5.
